Lost tag

One of a group of three pigs due to go to the abbatoir has lost his tag. On this occasion I was going to slap mark, as he is a big pig, and I have no experience yet on tagging.

Two questions, has anyone a slap marker I could borrow. And secondly, do I have to use (or in fact can I use) the same number as his original tag, which I have on my records.

just sent my pigs to the butchers for the first time and opted for the ear tags they are so simple didn't even need a man! my tags had my herd mark on. Best people to phone would be cwg.
